The Legacy Habit

A Quarter a Day, Compounded.

Legacies rarely start with a windfall. They start with a small habit that never skips a day, and lets time do the heavy lifting.

Worth a Second Look

Five Common Medicare Mistakes

There are more carriers and more plan types than most people ever see. Some of the strongest options are not readily accessible by searching online or calling a couple of companies. A licensed broker review puts the wider market side by side before you choose.

1. Treating the first quote as the whole market. Two or three companies are not the market. An independent review compares the carriers available in your area, often 25 or more,* including options that are rarely advertised.

2. Missing an enrollment window. Initial enrollment, annual open enrollment, and special enrollment periods each have rules, and missing them can mean penalties or waiting.

3. Choosing on premium alone. The right plan fits your doctors, your medications, and your travel, not just the monthly number.

4. Never re-checking the plan. Plans, networks, and drug formularies change every year. A plan that fit two years ago may not fit today.

5. Assuming Medicare covers long-term care. It largely does not, and planning for that gap early is far cheaper than reacting to it late.

Service II

Final Expense Planning

Permanent, guaranteed whole life coverage with level premiums that never increase — so your loved ones are never left with unexpected funeral and end-of-life costs. Most plans are simplified-issue with no medical exam, placed within days.

Typical final expense issue ages are 45 to 89, and whole life coverage for children and grandchildren can start at just 2 weeks old.

Service III

Estate & Legacy Planning

Life insurance is one of the most powerful estate planning tools available — funding a trust, replacing income for a surviving spouse, paying estate taxes without liquidating assets, and moving inheritance to heirs without probate delays. We work with your existing attorneys, CPAs, and tax planners, and our associated team and partners assist in different areas.

Sean, founder of My Legacy Management

Why "My Legacy Management"

"We get one life. Our time is precious — and what we do with it becomes the legacy we leave behind: to our loved ones, our children, and the community around us."

Health and wealth are two sides of the same plan: the coverage that protects your body and the strategies that protect what you have built. We plan both together, at any age and any stage. That belief is the whole reason this agency exists. Founded in Oceanside by Sean, licensed since 2018 — My Legacy Management is built around three things: stability and security in retirement, protection of the assets within your estate, and coverage for the unforeseen, because life moves in seasons and rarely on schedule.

At its core, it's about having thought things through — being in control, coordinated, and certain that what you leave behind is a legacy, never a burden. Independent, no quotas: we shop the whole market, explain every option in plain language, and work alongside your attorney and CPA so the full picture holds together.

FAQ

Common Questions

When should I enroll in Medicare?
Your Initial Enrollment Period starts 3 months before the month you turn 65 and ends 3 months after. Missing this window can result in lifetime late-enrollment penalties. If you're still covered by employer insurance, different rules apply — we walk you through the exact timing during your free consultation.
What's the difference between Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage?
Medicare Supplement (Medigap) helps cover many out-of-pocket costs under Original Medicare, depending on the plan letter, and gives you broad provider flexibility. Medicare Advantage is another way to receive your Part A and B benefits through a private insurer, often with lower premiums but network restrictions. Which fits you depends on your health, your doctors, and how you travel. We review the best fit between MA, MAPD, and Med Supp, including Special Needs Plans and Medi-Medi. We compare both side by side during your review.
Do you charge for consultations?
Never. Consultations are completely free. As an independent agent, we're compensated by the insurance carrier after you enroll — not by you. This also means we have no incentive to push you toward a higher-priced plan.
What types of life insurance do you work with?
Term life, whole life, final expense, and indexed universal life (IUL). Each serves a different purpose — term for pure income protection, whole life for permanent guaranteed coverage, final expense for seniors seeking affordable guaranteed-issue options, and IUL for tax-advantaged growth tied to market indexes with a guaranteed floor against loss.
Can you help with estate planning?
We specialize in the insurance side of estate planning — life insurance structures, trust-owned policies, beneficiary optimization, and coordination with your overall plan. We work alongside your attorney and CPA to ensure everything aligns. We do not provide legal or tax advice directly.
What areas do you serve?
We primarily serve San Diego, Orange, and Riverside Counties — including Oceanside, Escondido, Temecula, Murrieta, Irvine, and surrounding communities. Many products are available statewide across California.
